1. Who we are
This website (epalletinc.com) is operated by ePallet, Inc., a pallet manufacturing and Total Pallet Management company headquartered at 14701 Detroit Avenue, Suite 740, Lakewood, OH 44107. We refer to ourselves as “ePallet,” “we,” “our,” or “us” throughout this policy.
For privacy questions, contact us at info@epalletinc.com or 1-888-805-9670.
2. What we collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Contact form submissions. Full name, company name, work email, phone, state or region, estimated monthly pallet volume, current pallet supplier, urgency, job title, plant locations, and any message you provide. This is the information you supply when you fill out the contact form on /contact/.
- Regional rep form submissions. Name, company, state, and message from the regional-rep form on /services/national-presence/.
- Newsletter signup. Email address (required), first name and role (optional) when you subscribe via the footer or any newsletter form. Subscription is double opt-in — you confirm via an email we send you.
- Analytics. Standard web analytics from Google Analytics 4 (page views, referrers, device type, approximate location at the city level, session duration) once consent is granted via the cookie banner.
- Server logs. IP address, request URL, user agent, and timestamp, kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) for operational and security purposes.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. ePallet sells business-to-business — our audience is procurement and operations professionals at companies.
3. How we use your information
- Lead follow-up. Contact form and regional-rep submissions are sent to our sales team so we can respond with a quote, proposal, or follow-up conversation. Typical response time is one business day.
- Newsletter delivery. Email addresses on our newsletter list receive a monthly email with pallet industry insights, ePallet updates, and sustainability content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter, or by emailing info@epalletinc.com.
- Site analytics. Aggregate analytics help us improve the website — we look at which pages are most visited, where visitors come from, and where they drop off. Analytics do not identify you personally.
- Security and fraud prevention. Server logs and rate limits help us detect abuse (such as automated form spam) and protect the site’s availability.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share information with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Third-party processors
We use a small set of vetted service providers to operate this site. Each is bound by its own privacy commitments. We share only what each provider needs to do its job:
- Supabase — stores contact-form submissions in a Postgres database hosted in the United States.
- Resend — sends the email notification when a contact form is submitted, so our sales team can follow up.
- MailChimp (Intuit) — manages the newsletter list and delivers campaigns. MailChimp double opt-in is enabled.
- Vercel — hosts the website (serverless edge + static assets) and keeps standard server logs.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregate site usage once consent is granted via the cookie banner.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. A consent banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies before any analytics cookies are set.
- Essential cookies — required for the site to function (session, security, consent state). Set automatically.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4. Set only after you accept via the consent banner.
- Newsletter cookies — MailChimp may set a cookie to remember a signup confirmation. Set only when you interact with a signup form.
6. How long we keep information
- Contact-form submissions: 2 years from submission date, then deleted on a rolling basis.
- Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: 26 months in Google Analytics (default retention).
- Server logs: 30 days at the hosting provider.
7. California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the following rights. ePallet operates a regional sales office in San Francisco and does business with California companies, so we honor CCPA rights for any California resident — whether you live in California or otherwise qualify.
- Right to know what categories of personal information we collect, how we use it, and which third parties (if any) we share it with.
- Right to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions (such as records we are required to keep for legal compliance).
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale — we do not sell personal information, but you may still confirm this in writing.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny service, change prices, or change the quality of service because you exercise these rights.
To exercise a CCPA right, email info@epalletinc.com with the subject line “CCPA request.” We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
8. EU and UK residents (GDPR-aware)
ePallet is headquartered in the United States and does not actively market to European Union or United Kingdom residents. We do, however, ship and partner across Canada and Mexico and occasionally serve international procurement teams. If you are an EU or UK resident, you may exercise the following rights under GDPR or UK GDPR:
- Right of access to the information we hold about you
- Right to rectification of inaccurate information
- Right to erasure of your personal information
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
The lawful basis for processing contact-form data is your consent (you affirmatively submit the form to request a response). The lawful basis for newsletter delivery is your consent (double opt-in). Analytics processing is based on your consent via the cookie banner.
To exercise a GDPR right, email info@epalletinc.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Security
We use TLS encryption for all traffic between your browser and the website. The contact-form database is hosted on Supabase with row-level security and access restricted to ePallet personnel. We rate-limit form submissions, run a honeypot field to catch automated submissions, and apply a content security policy across the site.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or processors change. The “last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the homepage or by email to newsletter subscribers.
