Current Supply Chain Shortages

December 3, 2021 | epallet Updates

As most of you already know, the pandemic has affected many people’s lives and businesses. Fortunately, our pallet company is in the category of “essential businesses.” This means that we were never forced to shut down, even when the government announced mandatory lockdowns. Staying open during the pandemic has been a blessing but also came with different challenges that made it harder to get the products to consumers. Epallet had to adapt quickly in order to fulfill orders and keep customers happy.

When COVID-19 first hit the United States many lumber mills had to stop their business which made the number of pallets and wood available significantly decrease. Not to mention that many people around the country were taking advantage of this time off to renovate their homes. The new construction of houses and renovations were competing for the limited wood available. We also struggled with finding workers during the pandemic because many people left their jobs for personal reasons. A factor that helped Epallet stay afloat was having our own mill locations to cut wood, recondition, and create new pallets. There was still challenges in order to get the wood considering there was a national shortage. Our team has worked countless hours making phone calls and working hard to fulfill each order on time. We are very grateful to still be able to run our business successfully, and accessing the needed resources to do so. We want to thank each and everyone of you that has been patient and understanding with us during this difficult time.

We appreciate your business!
